The handpicked Koroneiki olives are pressed immediately in order to retain their high quality. This contributes to its exceptional flavor. It also provides for the extremely low acidity level of 0.3% and gives the palate a mild peppery taste as it contains a high level of anti-oxidants.Taste of Crete also carries the PDO, Protected Designation of Origin seal. This is a highly coveted European Union recognition of its exceptional quality and that the cultivation and processing of the oil are done in the traditional manner in the Sitia region of Crete. It is based on the concept of terroir, which holds that the flavor and other unique qualities of a traditionally made food are formed through a complex interaction of soil, plant life, climate and centuries old production methods that cannot be replicated elsewhere. | | | Features: | |

By Michael and Joan Pappas We really enjoyed this olive oil and will be buying again. As a matter of fact, we are just running out. We gave some away as gifts for the holidays and kept some for ourselves.

Excellent taste, everybody in the family just loved it. Did a blind tasting and everybody choosed it over the others.
Can literally drink itSep 24, 2011
By Brittany The first time I tried this olive oil I was told to literally "take a sip," so I did - I drank a tablespoon from a glass - I couldn't believe it - there was no bitter after taste and it was so incredibly smooth. I am in love with this olive oil. It has such great flavor. You will not be disappointed!
GREAT OLIVE OIL!!!Oct 12, 2010
By Joseph R. Calamia This product is a bit pricy as is the shipping on it. I love to try various olive oils and decided to go the cost on this one, just to see if, it was as good as "they" said it was. I must admit it...really was!!!
Olive oil from Crete seems to put all the other good olive oils in the closet. This olive oil has a nice smooth taste that has no bitter after affects, and it's rich flavor is perfect on pastas, salads, breads, ets. This olive oil has less acidity than most others (o.3), and it really does make a difference. I wish I had easier access to this product in stores where I live, but unfortunately, I do not. Hurray!!!! for Crete.
A great product...Thank you.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER TASTED GREEK OLIVE OIL YOU ARE MISSING OUT. GREEK OLIVE OIL BY FAR IS THE BEST. MY HUSBAND AND I FIRST EXPERIENCE GREEK OLIVE OIL ON A TRIP TO GREECE. WHEN WE CAME HOME, I TRIED SEVERAL OLIVE OILS BUT NEVER COULD FIND THAT "TASTE". THEN WHEN VISITING FRIENDS IN CHICAGO, I FOUND REAL GREEK OLIVE OIL IN A GREEK RESTAURANT. THAT WAS MANY YEARS AGO. I WAS SO GLAD WHEN I DISCOVERED THAT I COULD ORDER GREEK OLIVE OIL FROM AMAZON. GREEK OIL HAS A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TASTE THAN ITALIAN OLIVE OIL. GREEK IS THE BEST '''''
