MMMMMM!!!Jan 02, 2009
Wow! This is a silky soft, lusciously textured tuna with a fresh-from-the-sea flavor. Just salty enough and so good it can be eaten straight from the jar. I've tried a bunch of other high-end tunas (bonito del norte, regular yellowfin, high-quality albacore, etc), and yellowfin ventresca (from the fatty tuna belly) is the only type that felt like it was worth every penny. Other brands are also good, but I especially like tonnino!

Tuna heaven, right here on EarthJun 24, 2009

Yes, these are a little more expensive than your supermarket solid white Albacore in oil, but that's like comparing Filet Mignon and hamburger. You actually get a very decent amount of tuna per bottle here, and it's all lush, luscious Ventresca. With quality like this, even a little goes a long way!

Best catch in the sea..Jan 05, 2012

I really love this Tonnino ventrescas tuna. I had been a shopper at BJ's wholesale club for many years. They offered a similar product of tuna filet that I would purchase often(double pack 6 oz jar). As usual, though, they discontinued selling it in their clubs.
So I took to the internet, searching various sites, checking out Amazon.com. Came across the ventrescas filets on the site. I have not regretted the purchase. I like that it is packed in olive oil and jarred(no can taste). The price was the best at approx $6.46 a jar. I bought two cases which brought the price under $6.00 a jar. The vendor(Taylor's Market) packaged the shipment great, no broken jars. Great customer service..

Excellent product! Though it doesn't look like a large amount, when combined with various ingredients for a delightful salad nicoise, it makes an entire meal for four people. I also use it with pasta! Excellent!

Best Tuna EverOct 10, 2010

Great stuff. Best tuna I have ever had. Good for a snack or hors d'eurve. I started with an Alton Brown recipe (lettuce, capers, etc.) and have gone from there. Highly recommended.
